There are days at the factory that remind us why we build what we build — and a recent morning with a class of young visitors was one of them. We were delighted to welcome Grade 4 students from Wuxi Experimental Primary School to our Wuxi Sine Power factory for a research and learning visit, turning our production floor into a classroom for the day.

For many of the students, it was their first time inside a real factory. Wide eyes everywhere — especially the moment they saw just how big some of our hub motors are in person.

The visit began with a safety briefing and a short introduction to what we make: the hub motors and controllers that power electric bicycles, scooters and motorcycles. Then the students set off along the production line in small groups, following a wheel from raw parts to a finished, tested motor.

Our engineers showed them how copper wire is wound into a motor’s stator, explained in kid-friendly terms how magnets and electricity work together to spin a wheel, and answered an impressive number of questions. “Why does it spin faster than a fan?” was a particular favourite.

The hands-on segment was the clear highlight. Students examined controller boards up close, watched a motor spin up on the test bench, and felt the difference between a running motor and a stopped one. Seeing electricity turn into motion right under their fingers made the science lesson unforgettable — for the students and, honestly, for our team too.

The visit wrapped up with a group photo and a big round of applause. Several students declared they now want to be engineers when they grow up, which is exactly the kind of spark we hoped to kindle.

We are grateful to Wuxi Experimental Primary School for organising the trip and to our staff for hosting it with such care. Sharing how hub motors are designed and made is part of our commitment to the community — and who knows, a future motor designer may have picked up a wrench here for the first time this week. If you are curious about what we build, explore our moped scooter motor range or come and see it for yourself.
